Windows 7 Voice Control

I know for a lot of you the word “Windows” automatically makes you flinch. Blue screen of death, random rebooting, freezing, and nonsense error messages come to mind. Myself, I wouldn’t touch Vista. However, I’ve been trying out Windows 7, and I must say that I am taking a liking to it. It’s a solid operating system, and if you give it a chance to poke around in it and actually see what it has to offer, it’s pretty sweet.
Now I know Vista had a lot of the cool features that 7 touts, but of course they did not work properly (or at all) or were not as streamlined. One of these features is the voice control ability. Voice control is not new, but it has been pretty primitive for a while. However, after a few hours of experimenting with Windows 7, I must say that I am quite excited about the future of voice control.
You can try it out yourself if you have 7 (or Vista) – just search “voice control” in the start menu and follow the instructions; it comes installed. You can say stuff like “open Firefox”,
“show desktop”, “delete last sentence”, “what can I say?” and more.
Don’t let your stigmas of Vista influence what you think of 7 if you have not tried it yet – it’s quiet a change.
